Here are some of our favorites from our weekly playlist.
1. "Girl Like You" by Toro y Moi
This song throws me into that summery mindset. Its simple guy-meets-girl foundation is complimented by bouncy riffs and an almost-80s vibe.
2. Con Altura by ROSALIA, J Balvin
This song is wild. Latin music is on the rise, and ROSALIA's sugary vocals are showing up everywhere. J Balvin also brings the heat in this beat-heavy track.
3. Habit by Still Woozy
Still Woozy may be an alternative band, but it has some R&B-influenced vocals. The production is intricate and smart, always revealing new sounds and hooks every time you listen.
4. "Different Planet" by Lion Babe
I love this song. It's very laid-back and Jillian's voice meshes well with the beat. It's the perfect song to listen to on a night drive.
5. "Dysfunctional" by Kaytranada and VanJess
Kaytranada's done it again - made a great dance song. VanJess's vocals are on point as always, and it's the perfect song for a warm, sunny day
6. "Clones" by Tierra Whack
Tierra Whack is a force to be reckoned with. One of the most rap's most impressive and creative newcomers, the Philly native gets cocky and boisterous over a hard-hitting beat. Whack's clever bars combined with a wacky beat make for a great song.
7."Make It Better" by Anderson .Paak
Anderson .Paak has is having a busy year. With two albums and two separate tours, he's providing plenty of entertainment. Check out this new soul song off his brand new album "Ventura".
8. "Suge" DaBaby
Could DaBaby be HipHop's best new artist? A lot of people would say so. Dababy's upbeat style and hot tracks would make anyone join in. Take a listen to his album favorite, "Suge" to get a better listen.
9. "Big Ole Freak" by Megan The Stallion
Don't let the dancing fool you, Megan the Stallion is a lot more than an avid twerker. Her flows are taking the country by storm especially with the fan favorite, "Big Ole Freak".
10. "Niko's Red Truck" by Dijon
If you haven't heard of Dijon yet, get to listening. He has been releasing solo tracks for over a year now, and has not disappointed me since. "Niko's Red Truck" is song nostalgia-inducing song will put you in a calm, easygoing mood.
11. "Mona Lisa" by Toro y Moi
Toro y Moi has been releasing amazing, thoughtful music for years. Whether you're studying or commuting to work, tracks like "Mona Lisa" are a perfect fit for any scenario. Check out this feel good song off of his album "Boo Boo," released in 2017.
12. "Honest" by Abhi//Dijon
Though the group is no longer together, their chill, yet complex music still stands. In their song "Honest," Abhi//Dijon uses simple lyrics and soft vocals, while implementing a smooth techno-style beat.
